At Vivekanandam Vidyashram, we believe in nurturing leadership qualities, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility among students through a well-organized Student Leadership Programme. This is achieved through the Student Council, Student Cabinet, and an active House System—all of which encourage participation, initiative, and school spirit.
The Student Council is made up of the bonafide House Representatives and plays a vital role in the student leadership framework of the school. It serves as the voice of the student body and acts as a bridge between students and school administration.
To enhance student involvement and leadership at every level.
The House System is an integral part of the school’s curriculum and co-curricular structure. All students from Classes I to XII are grouped into four houses, each named after a great Tamil dynasty that contributed immensely to the cultural and historical richness of ancient Tamil Nadu.
Each house is guided by a House Master, supported by House Captains, Vice-Captains, and Prefects.
The Pandya dynasty was known for its maritime strength and cultural patronage. This house encourages students to be firm, honest, and reliable.
Pallavas were patrons of architecture and the arts. This house inspires students to be bold, energetic, and creative.
The Cheras were known for trade and prosperity. This house promotes growth, teamwork, and environmental responsibility.
The mighty Cholas were known for their military prowess and administrative excellence. This house instills bravery, intellect, and leadership in its members.
