At Vivekanandam Vidyashram, discipline and order are integral to nurturing a safe, respectful, and effective learning environment. The following rules and regulations are to be strictly followed by all students and parents:

  • The academic year begins in April and concludes in March.
  • The year is divided into two terms to ensure smooth and systematic academic functioning.

  • Admissions for the new academic year begin in January.
  • Brochures and application forms are available at the school’s front office.
  • Admission is governed by the policies of the school management, as well as the applicant’s age, ability, and conduct.
  • Students will be tested and placed in the grade that best suits their aptitude and educational background.

  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform on all working days and during school functions.
  • ID cards must be worn at all times, including in the school bus.
  • In case of a lost ID card, it must be reported immediately to the class teacher. A replacement will be issued upon payment of Rs. 200/-.

  • Books are issued during the designated Library Period as per the class timetable.
  • Students are responsible for the safe handling of borrowed books.
  • Lost or damaged books must be replaced by the borrower.

  • Entry to science and computer labs is allowed only during practical sessions.
  • Any damage or breakage of lab equipment caused by a student will be chargeable to the concerned student.

  • Educational trips are organized as part of experiential learning.
  • While every effort is made to ensure student safety, the school cannot be held liable for unforeseen incidents.

  • The school collaborates with parents to ensure the health and well-being of all students.
  • If a student falls ill during school hours, timely care and assistance will be provided following the school’s established health and safety guidelines.

  • Students are allowed to wear neat civil dress on their birthday.
  • They may join the school choir during the morning assembly.
  • Students are encouraged to donate a book to the library or a sapling to the school as a gesture of celebration.
  • Distribution of healthy snacks is permitted, if parents wish.
  • Gifting, cake cutting, or extravagant celebrations are strictly not allowed in the school.

  • Transport services are charged for 11 months of the academic year.
  • Students must reach their designated bus stop at least five minutes before the scheduled arrival of the bus.

  • Discipline must be maintained on the school bus at all times.
  • Students found misbehaving in the bus may face temporary or permanent suspension from transport services.
